Rules and conditions for using the grime Discord bot and web dashboard.

Last updatedJanuary 27, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using grime, you agree to these Terms of Service and all applicable policies. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to both the Discord bot and the web dashboard. If a feature includes additional rules, those rules are incorporated by reference.

2. Eligibility

You must comply with Discord Terms of Service and be legally permitted to use Discord. If you are under the legal age in your jurisdiction, you must have parental permission.

Server owners are responsible for ensuring that their communities comply with applicable laws, including age restrictions and content standards.

3. Service Scope

grime provides moderation, automation, games, economy, and dashboard functionality for Discord servers. Features are enabled and configured by server owners and administrators.

We may add, remove, or modify features at any time. Major updates may include new data fields, automation options, or dashboard controls.

4. Permissions and Authority

You may only use commands and configuration tools if you have the required Discord permissions or have been granted access by server staff. You are responsible for actions you trigger through the Service.

Misuse of elevated permissions or attempts to bypass permission checks may result in removal of access or blacklisting from the Service.

5. Prohibited Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited activities include:

  • Attempting to bypass permissions, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Using the bot for spam, harassment, or illegal activity.
  • Reverse engineering or exploiting vulnerabilities in the Service.
  • Using the Service to collect or store data unlawfully.

We may investigate suspected abuse and take corrective action, including disabling features, removing access, or reporting activity to Discord Trust and Safety when appropriate.

6. Data and Content

Server owners are responsible for the data they choose to collect using the Service. The bot may process messages, logs, and configuration data as described in the Privacy Policy.

You represent that you have the right to use and process any content provided to the Service and that such content does not violate applicable law.

7. Paid Features

Some features may require payment. Payments are handled by third-party processors, and their terms apply. Access to paid features may be revoked if a charge is reversed or a subscription lapses.

Prices, billing cycles, and included features may change. We will attempt to notify customers of material billing changes where feasible.

8. Availability

The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

Maintenance windows, feature rollouts, or emergency updates may temporarily affect availability.

9. Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or pose a risk to the platform. Server owners may remove the bot at any time.

Termination may result in loss of access to features, dashboards, or stored data, subject to applicable retention policies.

10. Disclaimer

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure. You use the Service at your own risk.

We are not responsible for actions taken by server staff using the Service.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the Service in the six months preceding the claim, where applicable.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms should be directed to the official support Discord or the server owner for your community.

For billing issues, include purchase identifiers or receipts to speed up resolution.
